Chevrolet (Chevy) Regional Zone Manager Rick Wilde presents the 2014 MLB World Series MVP trophy to Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants following his third amazing performance of the post season. I feel bad for Mr. Wilde as he appears very flustered on camera. It’s a rather hilarious clip though as he makes numerous mistakes and says things like “It combines class leading, leading, ya know, technology and stuff….”. You really have to watch the video a 2nd and 3rd time to appreciate how funny it is. In fact, on the 2nd or 3rd watch, watch Erin Andrews and Bud Selig, and the video gets even funnier.
This video is ALMOST as good as “Boom Goes the Dynamite”!

I know I’ve certainly came off as nervous in speeches before, I think a lot of folks have. And he was on tv!! So I can’t give the guy a hard time. I will say this was like the real life Chris Farley snl character though!
In a van down by the river
Honestly, I would have pounded a pint of whiskey or cinnamon liquor and had some beers. Then I would've been okay. That's how I passed all of my speeches in college.
It's Bud Selig's reaction for me. He looks like he's about to fire somebody on the spot for putting this man on stage.
Although I find it funny, it is funny in a relatable way. Who among us hasn't been terrified to speak in some setting? The cool part is that this ultimately was a great thing for everyone. His employers were thrilled because it was widely shared and resulted in millions of dollars worth of free advertising. I mean, he got to be on TV during the World Series! He's going to be telling that story for the rest of his life.
i wouldve fainted. Props to this man for going through with this.
2021: who's coming back to learn about technology and stuff?
Say what you want, but Rick Wilde added that phrase to my lexicon. Also, I have seen plenty of presentations like these, but his is the only one I remember. I still know that Chevy is the official truck of major league baseball, so you go, Rick! Get down with your bad self!
Poor guy. As an anxious (and fat lol) guy myself I feel for him. Poor guy was out of breath.
i always imitate this guy when I award the prize money in our Fantasy Football League and will be doing it again after the Football Team plays the Eagles "technology and stuff"
Six years ago today!
I miss Bud Selig
Sounded better than Manfred after the 2020 World Series
Rikk you the greatest
In 2020 does anyone know if Chevrolet is still including technology and stuff in their line of vehicles ? 🤔
normal apperance of a stressed guy. I don't see anything special, funny or akward. People, just chill a bit
That's why I gave up after my first, and what would be turn out to be my last, oral presentation and/or public-speaking assignment ever.
Y'all don't laugh at him. I damn know some of you would be acting awkward and flustered knowing you got a few million watching your every word. Go easy on him.
It's a real life Robert "Bob Pogo" Pogrohovich
What is it with these Chevy guys? 2019 MVP presenter seemed just as nervous! 2019s guy reminded me of this clip, had to look it up. Lol 🤣
Whose here because of the Boomer and Gio show this morning?
Players these days could buy, even at the minimum mandatory salary, a truck like that with one game check. Bumgarner's didn't give a crap about the free truck. Lol
